Rosebud Skin Cancer Centre
Rosebud Skin Cancer Centre opened its doors in July 2017. We are committed to the detection and treatment of skin cancers and to achieve this goal, we offer the following services:
Full body skin checks using dermoscopy
Mole mapping including Total Body Photography and MoleMax
Surgical Excisions of skin cancers, including more complicated procedures such as Flaps and Grafts
Non-surgical treatments of skin cancers e.g. Efudix, Aldara, Picato and daylight PDT.
Treatment/ removal of non skin cancer lesions e.g sebaceous cysts, lipomas, skin tags and seborrheic keratoses (also known as “senile warts”, “barnacles” or “wisdom spots”).
Rosebud Skin Cancer Centre has 7 skin check rooms (one of which is fitted with a brand new Molemax machine for molemapping) and two fully equipped operating theatres. Procedures are usually done on a day surgery basis, using local anesthetic, and therefore do not require an overnight stay.
Both doctors at RSCC are members of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia, have achieved higher qualifications in skin cancer medicine and surgery and are full time skin cancer doctors.
The nurses at RSCC are trained in dermoscopy & molemapping and hold the SCCANZ Certificates of Skin Cancer Medicine or Dermoscopy or are currently studying with the aim of achieving this qualification.
